      Good quality running shoes are fundamental to keep your feet and body healthy, as well as to help you run better. Running shoes endure many shocks in their lifetime and their durability depends on many factors as: weight, running style, terrain and use. Generally, running shoes last between 300 – 500 miles (450 – 800km) depending on the model and materials used along with the above factors. That doesn’t mean that at 500 miles every pair should be considered finished. That will ultimately depend on each personal case and your own feeling about whether or not your shoes are still able to serve you. As an example, a style like the Superior is designed to be fast and responsive, great shorter runs and smoother trails. If it is put through the same condition Superior won’t have the same durability of Olympus model, which is designed for longer runs and rougher terrains.
      To some extent a certain amount of pronation is natural and helps to ease the pressure on our locomotion system. However, many runners develop what is called overpronation. This excess is often the result of weak connective tissues or insufficiently strong muscles. At Altra Running, we develop what we call Dynamic Support shoes in order to help your body in containing overpronation and, at the same time, strengthen those muscles and tissues responsible for a better movement. We never do this by forcing your feet/body back into an unnatural position but rather by using passive resistance and proprioception to improve your muscle memory and yours stride. Hence, the longer you’ll use Altra shoes, the better your pronation issue will be.
      At Altra we design shoes based on human anatomy. We develop our lasts on thousands of scans of healthy feet. That is why we design gender specific fits in order to accommodate the many differences of women’s anatomy, like an higher plantar arch, lighter body and a different toes-to-heel ratio. Nevertheless, there’s nothing stopping you from purchasing a pair from the opposite site, just be aware of its fit differences.
      Altra Running was born in a running store in the middle of the Wasatch Mountains. Our shoes are designed by runners for runners. Nevertheless, experience thought us that they can be great tool when used for every movement/involved activity: from hiking to cross training as they will help you to move better and with unparallel comfort.       We are a brand that helps people to run healthier, not barefoot. There are times when you need an orthotic insole to achieve that. That’s why all Altra models are orthotic insole compatible and are sold with removable standard insole. Actually, putting orthotics in a foot-shaped shoe with balanced cushioning gives them the best possible chance to succeed. Anything else changes the insole’s geometry and may affect the results. It is clear that the foot can work in a more natural position and become stronger and more dynamic without an insole. On the other hand, insoles are to be used for specific needs and can help the foot to take on more strain than it normally would, allowing for more comfort in extreme efforts for athletes too. Lastly, Altra shoes are designed to help you move better and move naturally, to strengthen your feet and improve your running form. That is why the design of our outsoles follows human feet features. This is done to not “force” your body/feet do anything that is unnatural.

      Altra running shoes are designed to give you the best performance and feeling on trails and road. As any technical piece they need a little attention to make sure their performance features are maintained over time and you get those extra miles from it. Luckily taking care of your best running companion is not complicated and laborious. You just need to follow a few easy steps:
      - Keep your outsole free of debris in order to not compromise traction
      - Clean seldomly the upper to avoid particles of dirt working their way into the mesh and fabric.
      - Don’t submerge/soak your shoes in the water as it may compromise and deform the performance and materials
      - Do not use washing machine as it can be too aggressive
      - Do not use any heat (sunlight, dryer) to dry your running shoes because it can affect the materials
      When it’s time to give your shoes a clean we suggest you to treat each piece of your shoes separately, so begin from taking out insoles and shoe laces. Then, hand wash each piece separately (insole, upper and outsole) helping yourself with the use of a delicate cloth (and a brush for the more aggressive dirt), mild soap and warm water. After each piece is cleaned, we suggest you to let them dry in a place with mild temperature and low humidity. If you want to speed drying you can stuff newspaper or paper towels into your shoes. Never put your shoes in a dryer or near any heat source as high temperature can distort shapes and modify components.
      Transitioning to any new shoe should be taken carefully as each brand/model has their own peculiar features. That’s why is important to do so in the most comfortable way possible. Furthermore, Altra offers a Balanced Cushioning platform that puts your heel and toes on the same level in order to help you move naturally. All shoes should be worked their way into. And transitioning to Altra is no different.
      When transitioning to a new running shoe it is key to work your way into it and select the right pair. When transitioning into Altra make sure to keep the same amount of support and cushion as you had before. Use our Shoe Finder to help you with that. Just like any other shoe, there will be some tightness in the calves area between the first two days or two weeks. The body is just adapting to the newness of the natural footwear Altra offers. We suggest you to wear your new Altra every other day, alternating the older pair for the first few days to help you minimize any type of tightness. Like any other shoe experience, it is important to stretch and recover properly after runs/walks. Keeping the practices mentioned above will make the transition seamless and no different to any other new shoe experience.
      Did you just put on your first pair? Isn’t it an amazing freedom feeling? Altra shoes are Footshaped. They are designed to allow your feet to splay naturally within the shoe.       Altra Running was founded in the backroom of a specialty running store in the Wasatch mountains out of the ideas of our founders Golden Harper and Brian Beckstead to provide a running shoe that could actually help people run better. What Brian and Golden noted was the repetitiveness of running injuries and how these injuries where connected to a poor running form. That’s why they came up with the concept of a different shoe, parting away from the traditional elevated and tapered shoe box construction. Altra shoes are designed to help you move better, more naturally and injury free and not to encourage heel-striking and body misalignment.
      Altra shoes are shaped like feet. They are designed to allow your toes to spread out naturally and let your big toe remain in a straight position.       The number one misconception is that Altra is only meant for midfoot/forefoot runners. That is false.       Altra currently has a wide variety of styles for our consumers, some of which contain leather and some of which do not. That said, even in those styles which do not contain leather, it is difficult to verify that all components including dyes, finishes and adhesives do not contain any animal-derived content which is why these products are not labeled “vegan”. If any products are completely vegan in the future, this will be labeled on the products and our website. .
      Orders are released within 1-2 working days from order confirmation. When the order is shipped you’ll receive a confirmation e-mail including courier used and tracking details. Orders are delivered in 3-4 working days depending on the destination. Nevertheless, we kindly remind you that shipment delays may occur as the order once leaves our warehouse is under the courier responsibility.       We are sorry to know you are waiting long for your new shiny pairs of Altra to arrive. If your waiting has exceeded a week and you can’t retrieve satisfying information trough our tracking tool, contact our Costumer Service Team tough our form as they will investigate about your order whereabouts.
      If you order from a country outside the European Union, any customs duty for import shall be payable by the consignee. The client is advised to contact with customs authorities to verity duties and any restrictions on import.
      Any damage to the packaging and/or product or lack of correspondence in the number of packages or its details, must be notified immediately by indicating the nature of the problem on the delivery note for the product, which should be returned to the carrier. Please be aware that any problems with reference to the physical integrity, correspondence or completeness of goods received must be notified within 7 days of delivery, in accordance with the methods mentioned above.
      You may return a product within 30 days from the date of delivery.

      The goods must be returned undamaged, complete with all parts and in their original packaging (including packaging materials and any documentation, labels, tags, or seals, etc.).
      Your item must be kept or used only for the time strictly necessary to establish and verify its nature, characteristics and size and must not show signs of wear, tears or stains.

      You can return your order within 14 days from the date of receiving the products without incurring in any penalty and without any explanation. (Right to cancel: Pursuant to Article 52 of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005, as amended by Italian Legislative Decree 21/2014)
      The goods must be returned intact, complete in all their parts and in their original packaging (envelopes and packaging), having been kept and used only for the time strictly necessary to establish and verify their condition, features and size, in accordance with normal diligence, there being no signs of wear or dirt.
      We normally concede a 14 days period to return your order without incurring in any penalty. In order to provide the best service, it happens that this period is prolonged for specific time and territory. In case of an exception to the return policy, it will be clearly stated in the website.
      If you have selected the following option:

      a) Easy Return: you will receive an email confirming receipt of your return request with the related rma number: in attachment you will find the return label and the Return List. If you ship from a country outside the European Union, you will also receive a Proforma Invoice Print out the Return List, and insert it inside the package: this document will facilitate the recognition of the return and speed up the refund. Print the UPS Return Label and attach it to the parcel, covering/removing the original shipping labels. Arrange collection from your home by calling UPS, or visiting the carrier's website, or drop off the parcel at the closest UPS-Service Point.

      b) Standard Return: Within 1-2 working days you will receive an e-mail confirming the receipt of your return request with the associated rma number. Attached you will find the Return List. If you ship from outside the European Union, you will also find the Proforma Invoice attached. We remind you that shipping is at your own expense: you can choose the courier you prefer to organize the return shipment.
      Once the shipment arrives back to our warehouse it goes through a quality check, which could take a few days. Anyway, we will notify you once the items are received. If the return requirements are met, you’ll receive a full refund within 14 days since the confirmation email. Your refund will be issued on the same payment method used when completing your order. In the case of “cash on delivery” method, make sure to forward to our Custumer Service your IBAN code and Account holder. If that does not happens, we suggest you to contact our Customer Service as they will promptly support you.
      The costumer is responsible of the return shipment. You have to print the authorization email you received and put it inside the package and ship to the indicated address. We advise you to return your order trough your preferred shipping company to our warehouse. Keep the tracking number and delivery note of your return shipment in order to have it under control and easily reach out the courier or our customer service in case something doesn’t go smoothly.       Altra products are fully warranted to the original owner against manufacturing defects for two years. If a product fails due to a manufacturing defect, we will either replace the product or credit the product at our discretion or repair the product without charge. This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, improper care, negligence, laundering, normal wear and tear or the natural breakdown of colours and materials over extended time and use.       GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE



      1. Acceptance of the General Conditions of Sale and conclusion of the contract 

      1.1 The contract stipulated between FiloBlu Spa (hereinafter referred to as "FiloBlu") and the Client (that is the party or individual who makes the purchase on the Website, not attributable to their commercial, business or professional activity) shall be concluded with the acceptance, including partial acceptance, of the order by FiloBlu. Should the order not be accepted, FiloBlu shall in any case provide prompt notification to the Client. 

      1.2 By placing an order through one of the available methods, according to the order form on the Website (hereinafter referred to as the "Order"), the Client confirms having read all the information provided during the purchase process and confirms full acceptance of these General Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the "Conditions").

      1.3These Conditions may be printed or saved on a durable medium, in accordance with the provisions of Article 12 of Italian Legislative Decree 70/2003 and Article 51 of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005, as amended by Italian Legislative Decree 21/2014.

      1.4 FiloBlu shall arrange to refund the Client for the whole amount paid, net of consignment charges incurred and any customs duty paid for importation, within 14 (fourteen) days from the date of cancellation, by transferring the debited amount, via the same payment method used by the Client for the initial transaction, unless otherwise agreed. In any case, the Client shall not bear any expenses incurred as a consequence of said refund. FiloBlu may withhold the refund until the returned product is received or until such time as the Client can prove that the product has been properly dispatched, whichever is sooner.

       



      2.Purchase method 

      2.1 The only products offered for sale by FiloBlu are those shown on FiloBlu's website at the time of placing the Order, as they are described on the relevant information pages.   

      2.2 However, it shall be understood that the images accompanying the information regarding a product are shown for information purposes only and may not be wholly representative of the product's features, possibly differing, for example, in colour and size (in some cases due to the browser and screen used to access the Website and view the images).

      2.3 To place an Order, the Client must fully complete the relevant form on the Website and send the same after carefully reading the Conditions as well as the features of the product and/or products that the Client intends to purchase. The Client shall also ask FiloBlu, if desired, to send a tax invoice for the purchase, pursuant to Article 22 of Italian Presidential Decree no. 633/1972.

      2.4 Correct receipt of the Order shall be confirmed by FiloBlu by means of a reply via email sent to the email address indicated by the Client. Said confirmation message shall include a summary of the purchase conditions, in accordance with applicable regulations, as well as the details provided by the Client on the Order, so that the Client may check said details and communicate any necessary corrections without delay.

       



      3.Prices and Payment Methods 

      3.1 The prices indicated on the Website shall be understood as inclusive of taxes and VAT.  Any delivery costs or payment charges shall in any case be notified to the Client via the Website or through these Conditions.

      3.2 The following payment methods are accepted:

      (i) PayPal

      Clients may pay via PayPal in accordance with the specific methods set by the same.

      (ii) Credit card

      Where products are purchased using a credit card, the transaction may be performed via the PayPal secure server or another secure server as chosen by FiloBlu.

      Under no circumstances and at no stage of the transaction shall FiloBlu be able to access the Client's credit card details, which shall be transmitted through a secure connection directly to the banking institute that manages the transaction.  No electronic record of said details shall be held by FiloBlu and therefore under no circumstances shall FiloBlu be held liable for any fraudulent and unauthorised use of credit cards by third parties at the time of payment.

      (iii) Bank Transfer (only for european countires)

      In case of  purchase with bank transfer, the Client can find the bank coordinate. The goods will be shipped only after the actual receiving of the payment

      (iv) Klarna (Only for Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden)

      4.Delivery of products and associated charges 

      4.1 The products purchased shall be delivered to the address indicated on the Order by the Client within 24-48 hours from FiloBlu having accepted the Order, at the cost specifically indicated on the Website before placing the Order. FiloBlu reserves the right to accept or refuse requests for delivery beyond the territories of Italy or Europe. In any case, for deliveries outside the territories of Italy, delivery expenses and lead times may be subject to change.

      4.2 With reference to requests for deliveries to countries that do not belong to the European Union, any customs duty for importation shall be payable by the consignee. The Client is therefore advised to contact the customs authorities in the country concerned beforehand to verify the costs and any restrictions on imports.

      4.3 The lead times for delivery indicated by FiloBlu are merely indicative and a delay to the same, or any delivery made with subsequent split consignments shall not entitle the Client to refuse the delivery or request compensation or indemnity. 

      4.4 At the time of delivery, the Client shall be required to check: 

      • that the number of packages delivered corresponds to the number shown on the delivery note.
      • that the packaging is intact, not damaged, or wet or spoiled, including with reference to the materials used for sealing (adhesive tape or metallic strapping).

      Any damage to the packaging and/or to the product or any lack of correspondence in the number of packages or the details, must be notified immediately by indicating the nature of the problem on the delivery note for the product, which shall be returned to the carrier. 

      Any problems with reference to the physical integrity, correspondence or completeness of the goods received must be notified within 7 days of delivery, in accordance with the methods set out in this document.

       



      5.Right to cancel 

      5.1 Pursuant to Article 52 of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005, as amended by Italian Legislative Decree 21/2014, the Client may withdraw from the Conditions and therefore from the purchase agreement for any reason, without need for an explanation and without incurring any penalty, within 14 (fourteen) working days from the date of receiving the products.  

      5.2 In order to exercise the right to cancel set out in the preceding Clause 5.1, the Client shall send notification to FiloBlu within the time limits indicated to the following email address support@altrarunning.zendesk.com or by means of the form provided for that purpose on the Website.

      Registered users can access the "Return" section of their user dashboard and manage return requests.

      5.3 In the event of cancellation, the Client shall return the products to FiloBlu at the Client's expense within 14 (fourteen) days of said cancellation:

      The goods must be returned intact, complete in all their parts and in their original packaging (envelopes and packaging), having been kept and used only for the time strictly necessary to establish and verify their condition, features and size, in accordance with normal diligence, there being no signs of wear or dirt and in compliance with the following conditions:

      • the right to cancel may be applied to the purchased product as a whole; it is not in fact possible to return only part of the purchased product (for eg., accessories, complementary items, etc.);
      • in order to cancel, the product must be complete and returned in its original packaging, complete in all its parts (including packaging and any documentation and accessories: labels, cards, tags, seals, etc.);
      • transport expenses (and any customs duty, if applicable) arising from the return of the goods shall be borne exclusively by the Client. 
      • until confirmation of receipt by the warehouse indicated by FiloBlu is given, liability for transport shall be borne solely by the Client;
      • should the goods be damaged in transit, FiloBlu shall notify the Client, in order that the Client may promptly lodge a complaint against the courier that was used and obtain appropriate compensation; the product shall then be made available to the Client, at the same time as cancelling the request for termination;  
      • FiloBlu shall not be liable in any way for damage, theft or loss that occurs during or as a result of a shipment made for the purposes of returning goods.

      5.4  FiloBlu shall arrange to refund the Client for the whole amount paid, net of consignment charges incurred and any customs duty paid for importation, within 14 (fourteen) days from the date of cancellation, by transferring the debited amount, via the same payment method used by the Client for the initial transaction, unless otherwise agreed. In any case, the Client shall not bear any expenses incurred as a consequence of said refund. FiloBlu may withhold the refund until the returned product is received or until such time as the Client can prove that the product has been properly dispatched, whichever is sooner.

      5.5 In any case, the Client shall forfeit the right to cancel should FiloBlu discover any of the following:

      • that the returned product and/or its accessories, and/or its packaging are not intact;
      • that the product is without its external package and or the original internal packaging;
      • that the product is missing some of its integral parts and/or accessories (for eg., fastenings, ties, buckles, etc.).

      Should the right to cancel be forfeited, FiloBlu shall arrange to return the purchased product to the sender, debiting the shipping costs from the same and, if already refunded, the price of the product.



      6. Warranties 

      6.1 All products sold by FiloBlu are covered by a warranty of 24 (twenty-four) months for any lack of conformity pursuant to Chapter III of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005. To benefit from assistance under the warranty, the Client must retain the invoice or the payment receipt, along with the delivery note.

      6.2 The warranty for lack of conformity shall be applicable provided that the product concerned has been used correctly, in accordance with its intended use and in compliance with the contents of the instructions for usage and laundering provided in and/or with the product.

      6.3 Should FiloBlu, for any reason, not be able to provide the Client with a product under the warranty (repaired or replaced), or should repair or replacement be excessively burdensome, due to the value of the product, FiloBlu may proceed by applying an appropriate discount on the price paid, or by refunding the whole amount paid and terminating the contract.

      6.4 Where the implementation of the warranty requires the product to be returned, the same must be returned by the Client in its original packaging, complete in all its parts (including packaging and any documentation and accessories).

      8.1 Personal details collected when the Order is placed shall be used by FiloBlu solely for the purpose of fulfilling the express requests of the Client, in accordance with European regulation 2016/679 and the privacy statement shown on this website. Any other use of said details shall take place only with the express consent of the Client.

       



      9.Applicable law 

      9.1 The contract for sale set out in these Conditions and its performance shall be governed by Italian Law. Any contrary legal norms and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall not be applicable. Should a dispute arise, it shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Courts in the town where the Client is resident.
